School Meals

School lunches
School lunches must be paid for weekly, either in cash or by cheque (made payable to Greenwich Council). Please provide the correct money and use the envelopes provided at the beginning of term. Any credits due will be carried forward to the next week. If you have more than one child requiring a school meal, please use just one envelope and list and names and classes of each child on the envelope. Please contact the school office if you wish to pay on a half-termly basis. School dinners cost £ 1.60 a day or £ 8.00 a week. Money should be put into a Dinner Money envelope (available from class or the office) and marked clearly with name/class/amount.

Although we cannot make provision for individual preferences, but we do offer a vegetarian option daily. If you think that you may be entitled to claim free school meals for your child, please contact the school administrative officer who can advise you. We are unable to provide free school meals unless we have written confirmation from the Local Education Authority.

Packed lunches
If your child is going to have a packed lunch, the school will provide water on a daily basis. We do not allow sweets or chocolate as part of a packed lunch. A healthy packed lunch could contain a sandwich or roll, a piece of fruit and a yoghurt. Please support the school by ensuring that your child's lunch is in a box or bag.

Lunchtime supervision
Children are supervised at lunchtime by Midday Supervisors. If your child is absent for the whole morning sessions he or she should not return to school until after lunch, at 13.15. If, for any reason, you need to take your child out of school during the school day it is essential that you inform your class teacher in advance, either verbally or in writing. When you return your child to school, please report to the office or ask to speak to a Midday Supervisor, to ensure that your child is not left unsupervised.
Children may bring a piece of fruit for playtime and a bottle of water for drinking during the day.
